Monitor Telecom Joins FCC Pledge To Keep Members Connected During COVID-19 Crisis
Monitor Telecom is joining with the FCC’s “Keep Americans Connected Pledge” to ensure our members can stay connected during this COVID-19 crisis.
To make certain that our members have access to the tools they need to navigate this crisis, Monitor Telecom will not disconnect, suspend or apply late fees on any accounts that go past due during the next 60 days. We have also provided a free public Wi-Fi hotspot which can be accessed in the front (street side) of the building under “Monitor Complimentary Wi-Fi”.
As the novel coronavirus disrupts our daily routines, many are turning to the internet for solutions. Businesses are allowing employees to telework, schools are trying out new distance learning tools, and doctors are relying on telehealth to care for some patients remotely.
Since these services need high-speed internet, Monitor Telecom has increased the upload speed on our lowest package to 25Mb/25Mb, and has a conference bridge available to organizations and businesses to use during this time. Please contact the office in advance to request a conference bridge. In addition to the FCC Pledge, Monitor Telecom will waive all service order fees for upgrades and new connects.
The health and well-being of our members and employees is Monitor Telecom’s top priority. As a preventive measure, the business office lobby is closed to walk-in traffic. We are, however, still open to provide excellent service, take payments via mail, phone, email or drop box, and respond to any outages. In-home service calls have been restricted at this time.
